Most low-cost digital thermometers have fairly short probes. They're great for the pocket but can be frustrating when you need

a longer reach! Our long-stem model features an 8-inch probe that is perfect in lab work, food production,

and countless applications where you need longer immersion depth.

It includes a 0.137" (3.5mm) diameter pointed probe for added durability with reasonably fast readings.

A sheath is supplied to protect the stem in storage or transport.


The RT304-8 features accuracy to ±0.9°F and an upper range to 392°F.

It’s sealed from moisture with an IP67 water-resistant rating and built to last in daily commercial use.

With an extra long battery life of 5,700 hours, you’ll go years between battery changes.


The Max/Min function stores high and low temperatures for easy recall and won’t "auto-off" right in the middle of use.

The scale is switchable between °C and °F.

Instrument Operation
Press the ON/OFF button to activate the thermometer.

The unit will remain in the ON position until switched off by the
user. Insert the stainless steel probe about 1 inch (25 mm) into the object to be measured.

The measured temperature
will be shown on the LCD display.

To select °F or °C
Press the °C/°F button to select the desired temperature unit.

Using MIN/MAX
Press the MIN/MAX memory button to read the last highest / maximum temperature measured.
Press once more to read the last lowest / minimum temperature measured.
Press once more to return to normal display.
Press and hold the button for about 3 seconds then release to reset the memory.
MAX and MIN are reset when the unit is powered off.

Battery Installation
Replace the battery if “Bat” appears in the LCD display.
Replace with 3 volt, type CR2032 or equivalent.
Use a coin of suitable size to open the battery cover on the back.
Install the battery observing the correct polarity.
Close the battery cover.

Care and Cleaning
Clean the probe immediately after each measurement to avoid cross contamination.
Do not expose the entire thermometer to temperatures over 122?F (50?C).
Do not leave inside ovens. Not submersible
